Naples Athletic Club
This is not an athletic club or gym as you can see by the pictures.
It is an exclusive men's bridge club referred to by its members as: the "A-Club."
Founded in 1962 as a "strictly men's club to enjoy the pleasures of good fellowship," in Naples Florida.
As Naples and the area around it (Collier County) have grown, the club has grown from a room adjacent to the Piccadilly Pub Restaurant, which provided lunch service.
In 1998 the club purchased a "Class A" business condo and converted it into its new club. It has a living room, kitchen, and large game room with a dining area.
The members play Chicago style bridge on a daily basis. They are joined by their wives for duplicate bridge on Fridays, with dinner, and Sundays, with dessert.
Other events include lectures on a variety of subjects from economics to charity groups. There are at least four per year, usually during our winter season when more members are in town. Lunch is included.
We have bridge lessons by an excellent "Life Master" three times per season.
There is a two day club championship every year.
From time to time we offer free lunches to members. Members are encouraged to invite their wives and friends who like bridge to any of our lectures and lunches, or just to play a few hands of bridge. Lunches are varied and are usually three courses served hot.
And we have a few parties along the way.
Bridge is played everywhere in Southwest Florida, it is very popular. The "A-Club" is unique and has probably the best facilities anywhere. Our bridge games are always competitive, but in a friendly, relaxed, comfortable environment.
We are a non-profit organization with members from all parts of the US, Canada, England, and Germany.

All duplicate bridge sessions are sanctioned by ACBL and have a Certified Director
Our Bridge Instructor is a ACBL Life Master and professional instructor of bridge.
Spouses and family and friends are always welcome to attend bridge lessons, speakers, and duplicate bridge sessions and meals.
